Pocherong Baka



POCHERONG BAKA

Ingredients:
1 kg Beef, Cut into cubes
1 small head Cabbage
1/4 kg petchay baguio
2 medium sized potato
5 Plantains (Saba)
1 big can pork and beans
1/2 cup tomato paste
2 cups water
1 onion
3 gloves garlic
salt and pepper to tast


 I love to prepare all the ingredients while tenderizing the beef on the pressure cooker, (45 Minutes for a not to tender beef) the beef will be perfectly tenderize when cooked with the vegetables.

Procedure:
1. Start by frying the plantains, fry until slightly golden brown.
2. Drain off the oil and set aside.
3. Saute the garlic and onions.
4. add in the beef.
5. Saute until it changes color.
6. Season with some salt and pepper.
7. Next add in the tomato paste and water.
8. Mix and let it boil.
9. Cover and simmer over low medium heat until beef is tender.
10. Once the beef is tender, add in the potatoes.
11. Let it simmer some more until the potatoes are cooked.
12. At this point you can add in the rest of the ingredients. The veggies, pork and beans and plantains.

Soy Chicken

Ingredients:

1 Whole Chicken (1 - 1.5kg)
3 sticks Cinnamon
6 cups water
15 pcs. Star Anise
18 pcs. Cardamom Seeds
1 cup black soy sauce
1/2 cup regular soy sauce
1/4 cup knorr seasoning
1 large size ginger - half Chopped ito strips. other half slice by 4.
Onion Leeks  - halt put inside the chicken and other half w/roots add to the solution.
2 sachet of MSG.
2 teaspoon iodized salt


Procedure:
1. Mix all the ingredients except iodized salt and MSG.
2. Boil the mixture.
3. Put the Ginger inside the chicken, the big slices.
4. Mix the MSG and Salt, coat the mixture to the chicken, and let it marinate for 30 minutes.


5. When the solution boils, put the chicken and simmer it again for another 5 minutes.
6. Turn off the stove, and make sure the cover is intact, and start a 1 hour timer.
7. after 1 hour hang the chicken for 10 minutes or until the excess liquid is not visible.
8. After that serve with rice and hot and spicy Jufran and enjoy.
